Marina Tomić (1982, SR) is a visual artist from Serbia based in Switzerland, near Zürich.

She works on projects that involve drawings, installations, photography and performance art.

Focusing on the intersections between language and identity, her work questions the way humans transmit meaning through movement, narrative and image.

Tomić followed a diverse course of study in artistic practice and research and have been involved in many creative collaborations with different groups of people, from the community as well as other artist of different disciplines in the Netherlands, Italy, Turkey, Ireland, Serbia, Slovenia.

Currently she is doing her postgraduate studies in Theater Education in Zürich, Switzerland. 2009 Tomić received her MFA from the Dutch Art Institute/ArtEZ, Holland. Before she studied visual arts at the Art Academy Novi Sad, Serbia.
