2007
early morning, few years ago,
photographing a sea hidden behind the big stones,
I heard strong thumping sound.
One man was fishing nearby me,
he caught an octopus and was smashing it in to the stone,
so strong,
so strong,
so strong,
sometimes I feel…
“The image, invoked by the story about the killing
of an octopus by slamming its body against the wall,
relates to the author‘s body and the strain of her poses
and acts as a metaphor for the feeling
of powerlessness and lack of any prospects.
Through the action she transforms the feeling
of being captured (into the body, into the situation),
while the image with an air of
sensuality poses questions through
meanings of the words she writes.”
